Navigating the New Normal - Strategies for Success
27 & 28 October, London
Submissions deadline 8 April
The new normal isn't just about tightened budgets or doing more with less - it's also about new technologies, technically-literate users, communication, and opening up access to information, data and knowledge.
Internet Librarian International 2011 seeks dynamic, expert speakers from all types of libraries - public, academic, commercial or government - as well as those outside a traditional library setting, such as web designers, content evaluators, portal creators, 'shambrarians', systems professionals and independent researchers – to share your experiences about information services in this new normal environment.
What strategies have been successful?
What have you done to re-think and revitalise your information department, library or organisation?
Share your success stories – and tell us what lessons you learned if things didn't turn out as expected.
Visit the website www.internet-librarian.com for a wide range of suggested topics under the following themes:
Technology
Resource Management
Managing in the new normal future
Using the internet for research and reference
Web design
Innovative projects, services and tools
Submit your ideas at http://www.internet-librarian.com/CallforSpeakers.shtml. The deadline for submissions is 8 April 2011.
