We have a system of lockers - we issue the key to the student and they collect the laptop from the locker. I can give you more detail off list on this if you are interested.

Subject: laptop loans
Dear colleagues
We offer a laptop loans service and would like to ensure that the laptops remain within the library. The RFID tags we use for security don't work due to the metal in the laptop. Does anyone know of a way to stop laptops or netbooks working outside of a particular area? Or does anyone use a particular make of laptop that works with RFID tags?
Many thanks for any advice and apologies for cross posting.
