Dear Helen, our mammal experts are divided as to whether it's a horse
or a cow! If a horse, probably 4th cervical, but you will need to
check against a modern skeleton or a vet anatomy book.
Photos are always a problem in that no matter how many you take, you
never quite get the one people would really like. They need to pick
the things up and turn them around!
