Baraka is the film that immediately springs to mind, full of stunning timelapse photography. However, if by feature films you mean narrative cinema Baraka may not be of interest.
The best contemporary timelapse photographer that I know of would be Tom Lowe. You can see his work at http://timescapes.org/
He maybe worth contacting, as I'm sure he qualifies as an expert on the subject. He recently completed some second unit photography for Terrance Malik's next as yet untitled feature, and he may have been involved with Tree of Life, but I am not sure. I wouldn't be surprised
to see some timelapse in Malik's next couple of features.
Best,
Matthew
