Glamorgan are using the full Campus Pack suite, including the Expo/PLE, for what you pay it is quite reasonable, given that it is hosted as well. Our only reservation is that your licence only gives you a piece of their overall system and not your own instance - a cloud solution. This means that you are subject to Learning Objects own schedule of upgrades, and have no control over this - something we have found to be a bit of a nuisance. There is also a (very minor) delay as each one of the tools breaks out to the external system - not popular amongst our staff who were used to an immediate response from the old local-hosted building blocks. But I don't think that there is anything else out there that gives as much for such a low cost.

David

Subject: Re: Expo LX e-Portfolio
Hi Rob,
When you upgrade Campus Pack to Version 4 there is no Expo LX any more. Instead each user has their own Social Learning Space in which they can create e-portfolios using wikis. We have found this much better than the old version 2 as the Expo LX sharing options were limited and some didn't work for us on our installation. If you're on 2.9 or something like that I'd strongly recommend upgrading - at least in a test environment - so you can see how much better CP4 is.
Hope that's useful!

Subject: Expo LX e-Portfolio
Dear Colleagues,
I have had discussions recently with staff from York and UCB regarding the use of the Expo LX e-Portfolio within Learning Objects' Campus Pack, and would be interested in finding out who else is making use of Expo LX.
I have a long list of HEIs using PebblePad, and a shorter (but growing) list of those using Mahara, but very little idea of how much use of Expo LX there is. I'd be really grateful if you'd send me a quick email to confirm whether you're using Expo - I'll send another email once the list has been compiled.
Many thanks,
Rob Farmer
