I would be very grateful if any list members could point me in the direction of of any scholarly papers on the subject of citation rates in the mathematical sciences in particular as to how these vary between the mathematical sciences and other disciplines and also within the sub-dsiciplines of mathematical sciences. Here I am including statistics as a sub-discipline of mathematics (which is not necessarily how I think of it but you have to move with the times, especially when the times move you). A preliminary search of Web of Knowledge and Google Scholar has thrown up several interesting papers
but these are not quite what I am looking for.
Answers to me, please, and I will summarise for the list.
