Fixed Term for 3 Years
You will preferably have a PhD in Operational Research, Probability or Statistics, and will join a lively group working in Management Science on theory and applications of risk and reliability analyses. This group has an international reputation, and works together with leading companies and agencies on a number of different applied and theoretical projects. The Strathclyde Risk Consortium brings together a number of businesses and government agencies to work with us on themes of common interest and to generate new research problems. We have externally funded research projects including an EPSRC-funded project on availability of wind turbines, where we work with the Strathclyde Institute for Energy and Environment and renewables companies, and a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Scottish Water.
