Dear Sam,
Thanks for yours.
I don't want to belabor the point, but surely you think the life offered by Wicca is more ethically sound in fact, not just for you, than alternative ones. If someone were to ask you WHY the ethics espoused by Wicca are for you more suitable than those espoused by other religions, you would surely not say, circularly, that those are simply the ones you prefer. Surely you would try to JUSTIFY your preferences. You would thereby be judging the ethics of other religions.
Best,
Robert

My main point remains: unless Wiccans consider their religion superior to all others, why are they Wiccans and not Christians?
I'm a Wiccan because I prefer it to other religions. Other religions may or may not be true, it's irrelevant to me. The "ultimate truth" and eschatological stuff is irrelevant to me - Wicca helps me live a good and ethical life, to enjoy myself and feel a sense of connection to the divine.
So, I need not AS A WICCAN make any value judgement whatever about other religions. On a personal level, and in the simple fun of theological speculation, I think some religions are dumb, some contain quite nasty notions and so on.
Blessed Be
Sam Wagar
