Thanks for your reply. I appreciate the information and advice. I agree a masters program sounds the appropriate option. I have a MSc, which I gained in Australia, which was course work only (no research component). I would definitely benefit from structured research modules.

Hi Sheila
There are a number of options for you. A large number of Universities now offer MSc clinical research including Newcastle University where I am the programme director. We also have e-learning access so you could easily do the course from Wales.
I am not sure if any of the Prof Doc programmes are e-learning, but if you haven’t done much research you may be better starting with the MSc, you could also APEL if you have done some PG courses.
