Hi Holly,
Welcome! I rarely post on this discussion board although I follow the threads whenever anyone posts. I completed a DNSc at Columbia University in New York. I'd been a midwife for 15 years at that point and wanted to study the role of the midwife as a primary care provider cinducting screening for depression to women across the lifespan. Earning a doctorate is a life transforming experience. We, as midwwives, must continue to add to the art and science of our practice so that more women and families can benefit from the care we provide.
All the best with your study,
Lorraine
