Hi,
An innocent yum update on a previously functional cream CE results in:
# yum update
Loaded plugins: changelog, kernel-module, protectbase, security,
tsflags, versionlock
332 packages excluded due to repository protections
Skipping security plugin, no data
Reading version lock configuration

Resolving Dependencies

--> Finished Dependency Resolution
glite-security-gss-2.0.0-6.sl5.x86_64 from installed has depsolving problems
--> Missing Dependency: libcares.so.0()(64bit) is needed by package
glite-security-gss-2.0.0-6.sl5.x86_64 (installed)

Finished Kernel Module Plugin
Error: Missing Dependency: libcares.so.0()(64bit) is needed by package
glite-security-gss-2.0.0-6.sl5.x86_64 (installed)
You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: package-cleanup --problems
package-cleanup --dupes
rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
Although I have seen many google hits for this related to glite in the
past, I have no stomach to go looking again. What if this would just work?
Cheers,
Rod.
