Dear Marika,
Yes, the Dept is run by Ato Quayson, a Ghanaian whom my supervisor Joanna knew when she was at Cambridge. His area of study is English rather than history, but I'm sure they would be interested to hear of your new book. I've never been there so don't know if it is just offices etc., or if it has a library that could actually buy the book. If not, do you know if Routledge has tried to place it at UofT? I'm guessing it would go in Robarts, the massive main library.
I have another query. I received £300 from my Dept to put towards a trip to Accra. I think that, while I may not find alot, this trip is important for my own development. I was thinking of going in April but now I see that flights are more expensive then as it is around Easter. So now I'm looking at early May. I'm wondering if you have contacts in the University and the libraries, archives that I could be getting in touch with? I'm hoping the trip will be as much about meeting people as it is about getting documents.
All best,
Leslie

Leslie,
I am very very sorry that you will not be able to contribute to the
conference. Your work opens many doors.
But I am very happy to hear that the Toronto Univ. is appreciating your
work! I didn't know there was such a dept.... they should buy a copy of my
book on Henry Sylvester Williams (Routledge/Taylor&Francis)
I hope the seminar goes well today and that (contrary to my experience
there) enough people turn up. And people with a real interest whom you can
educate.
Marika
