We have a mss collection in the library here which, for various
historical and boring reasons, has some printed items mixed in among the
mss. A recent cataloguer went to some detail with the mss, but just put
'Printed item' against anything else. No title, no description, no
nothing. The rights and wrongs of mixing the printed works with the mss
is another matter, but there are some really important things in there,
and finding them is a pain in the proverbial! (Hopefully, the catalogue
is now being annotated with at least some notes of use!)

PS. Three cheers for Pamela's desire to lose the 'fragment, illegible'
in the nearest bin....!
