Hi everyone,
Just thought I'd let people know that Blackboard seem to have released an updated version of the YouTube Mashup Building Block for all versions of 9.1 except SP1. It can be downloaded from:
http://kb.blackboard.com/display/KB/Youtube+Mashup+Throwing+Error
I've tested the block in both Firefox and IE on our development environment (running 9.1 SP2 (9.1.482.2)) and it appears to function as before.
Thanks

In response to my ticket with BB I was told this would be targeted for SP5:
Note Detail: {Hi Martin;
I wanted to update you on this issue. This issue is targeted to be fixed in Release 9.1 Service Pack 5 and later as bug number AS-155470. This Service Pack is planned to be released around April of 2011. You can keep up with our maintenance team and the release schedule on their blog: http://kb.blackboard.com/display/DOCS/Maintenance+Experience+Blog
Due to a variety of reasons, the bugs targeted to be fixed in a release can change. I will send you an update if that should happen.
If you would like to have a voice in our bug prioritization for an upcoming service pack, you can join our Bug Squad. Here is the link to sign up: https://behind.blackboard.com/System-Administrator/Learn/Client-Programs/Bug-Squad-Request.aspx.
I am updating the status of this ticket to Closed - Pending Upgrade to reflect that you are aware of the current target version and awaiting the availability of the release.

Hi Phil,
We too have logged this as a problem and Blackboard have identified an incompatibility with their mashup and some recent changes to the Youtube site.
I have been given no schedule for a fix.
The Slideshare mashup also does not work in you are using proxy servers. This is scheduled for a fix in SP8.
It worries me that there are that there are enough higher priority bugs to fill 4 service packs before they get to this one ;-)

Hello all,
Just reported this issue to our technical support and they reckon it is an issue with YouTube (see attached image). Anyone experienced the same or similar?
The YouTube video is enabled at Sys Admin level and at course level. The other mash ups (Flickr and SlideShare) are both working fine.
A ticket has also been raised with Bb.
With best wishes,
