Hi Tim,
thanks a lot for your help. Unfortunately, it turned out that I was
actually building from SVN on the machine which has the problems (I have
git version on my notebook). When I changed it to git, I cannot
complete ./bootestrap:
ln -s buildsupport/starconf/componentinfo.dtd componentinfo.dtd
Bootstrapping buildsupport:
make -f Makefile.tmp \
prefix=/home/pkubanek/starbuild/buildsupport \
MANIFESTS=/home/pkubanek/starbuild/manifests \
buildsupport
cd buildsupport/starconf && autoreconf --install --symlink --verbose
Can't locate Autom4te/ChannelDefs.pm in @INC (@INC
contains: /home/pkubanek/starlink/buildsupport/share/autoconf /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.10.1 /usr/local/share/perl/5.10.1 /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.10 /usr/share/perl/5.10 /usr/local/lib/site_perl .) at /home/pkubanek/starbuild/buildsupport/bin/autoreconf line 42.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted
at /home/pkubanek/starbuild/buildsupport/bin/autoreconf line 42.
make: *** [buildsupport/starconf/configure] Error 2
Failed to make buildsupport
When I soft-link thirdparty/fsf/ .. ChannelsDefs.pm to INC, it then
complains about missing Automake/Config.pm. I must be doing something
terribly wrong, but so far I am unable to locate what - any hint will be
welcomed. I set all environment variables (STARLINK_.., PATH) as
described in README and I do not have STALINK set (as there was not
previous starlink installation..).
One of the goals to build from source is to later create Ubuntu
packages, so I can install without this painful exercise next time..
Thanks for your time
Petr
