Dear SPMers,
we are considering to make an fMRI study about multisensory perception.
We want to study what happens when a strong stimuli is presented to one
of the senses, are the quality of the other senses then degraded?
Consider for example that there is a very strong smell, can the subject
then "use" the other senses in a normal way (as without the smell) or
are the other senses "neglected" by the brain?
Does anyone know if there has been any research about this (I'm not sure
what to search for exactly) ?
/Anders
