**********APOLOGIES FOR CROSS POSTING************
The Public Sector Group will meet on May 18th at the Westminster Archives Centre, London and on May 26th at the Driving Standards Agency in Nottingham. The theme will be Records Management in an Electronic Age. The keynote speaker will be Jon Garde who is a MOREQ2010 author. The day is being sponsored by AI (Automated Intelligence) who will be doing a sponsor presentation. Other speakers have yet to be arranged but will be announced as soon as possible.
The meetings are free of charge and are open to all members of the Information and Records Management Society and any other interested delegates. Preferential booking will be given to IRMS members until 2 weeks before the event when booking will be opened to anyone who is interested.
If you would like to attend either of the meetings (the two events will be identical as far as possible, please contact, Elizabeth Barber ([log in to unmask]) for the meeting on May 18th or Deborah Wilson ([log in to unmask]) for the meeting on May 26th stating if you are a member together with your membership number.
We are looking for speakers to fill the other two slots on the agenda and also anyone who might be prepared to be part of a panel discussion on Records Management in an Electronic Age at the end of the day. If you have a short presentation (approx25-30 minutes) that you would be prepared to offer on any aspect of the theme (maybe a case study about EDRMS implementation orthoughts about metadata and indexing or the role of file plans or information security in the cloud environment) then please contact Elizabeth Barber on the above email address. Ideally we are looking for speakers who would be available to speak at both meetings but please let us know if you would only be available for one meeting.
