Happy New Year to you all; I hope you've all had a great break, and
are well-rested and ready to take on 2011!
You may have noticed some changes on the Website; we have had to move
to a different host, and sadly, that meant that we've lost the
existing discussion forum. However, we're taking this as an
opportunity to re-think and re-design it, so we want your feedback! If
you have time to answer a few questions so that we can improve the
site and make it more useful to you, we'd be really grateful, and you
can help shape the PsyPAG site to suit your needs!
So first of all, is a discussion forum, where users can post their own
questions, thoughts, or opinions, a good idea, or something that's not
likely to be used? If we do have a discussion forum, are you likely to
use it?
If you think we should have one, what do you think its primary purpose
should be? Should it be a place to ask for participants? To request
help with stats or experimental design? A place to discuss the latest
news in the world of psychology? Somewhere for informal chat? Should
we have competitions and giveaways? Are there other things that we
haven't thought of, which you think we should include? Any and all
ideas are useful at this stage, so please let us have your thoughts,
either on the mailing list or direct to me.
If you have ideas for other parts of the site, or you'd like to
recommend a book for the Recommended Reading page, or a website for
the Links page, you can either use the feedback forms on the site, or
email me direct. And don't forget that if you access Amazon.co.uk via
the Recommended Reading page
(http://www.psypag.co.uk/resources/recommended-reading/), PayPAG will
receive a small commission for absolutely everything you buy! So if
you're planning a bit of bargain-hunting in the January Sales, please
click through and help support PsyPAG, at no cost!
All the best for the year ahead,
Hester
