Research Postgraduate Scholarships in STS and other social science disciplines at the University of Nottingham

Research Postgraduate Scholarships for 2011 Entry
The School of Sociology and Social Policy is a leading interdisciplinary centre for social science research. Key research interests include health, public and social policy, cultural sociology, social work, citizenship, globalisation, human rights, migration, ethnicity and science and technology studies (STS).
PhD:
One 3-year full tuition fee and stipend studentship for applicants classed as Home/EU for fees purposes and applying to study full-time (stipend currently £13,590). Preference will be given to students who have been awarded, or are working towards, an ESRC recognised Masters degree.
One 3-year £5000 tuition fee scholarships for applicants classed as Overseas for fees purposes and applying to study full-time. Open only to applicants already holding an offer of a place to study.
Both awards also include an annual £750 Research Training Support Grant.
MA Research Methods (Sociology/Social Policy/Social Work/Public Policy and Management/Science, Technology and Society):
One £3000 tuition fee scholarship for applicants classed as Home/EU for fees purposes and applying to study full-time. This programme has ESRC approval and is intended as training for doctoral study.
Closing date for Home/EU awards: Monday 31st January 2011
Closing date for Overseas awards: Wednesday 4th May 2011
