That depends what information goes into your OH files Di. There is a
useful section in the book; Employment Law and Occupational Health,
Lewis & Thornbury, but essentially you need to break files down into
component parts and develop your own protocol depending on the nature of
the record.

Hello,
How long should OH files be kept by the employer after the employee has
left the company? I have 7 years in my head but I’m not sure where I
have read this and any evidence based link would be really helpful? I am
aware that Coshh records should be kept for period of 40 yrs after
Health surveillance.
