Announcing the International Worskshop in Ultrafast Chemical Physics 2011
(UCP'11)
On behalf of the UCP organising committee, I'm pleased to announce that
the next meeting in the UCP series will be held at the University of
Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK on the 14-16 Dec 2011.
This meeting is a follow-up to the successful 2008 meeting and aims to
encompass the current state of the art in ultrafast chemical physics. The
plenary presentation will be given by Dwayne Miller (Toronto) and we have
confirmed invited presentations from
Martin Wolf (Fritz-Haber Inst)
Villy Sundstrom (Lund)
Erik Nibbering (Max Born Inst)
Andrei Tokmakoff (MIT)
It is also planned to dedicate the first half day of the meeting to an
overview session aimed primarily at new PhD students or those wanting to
learn more about the scope and capabilities of ultrafast chemical physics
techniques. We have invited speakers to deliver an introduction and review
talk in the various areas of UCP, these include:
David Klug (Imperial): Multidimensional Infrared Spectroscopy
Andrea Cavalleri (Oxford): fs-Xray spectroscopy
Klaas Wynne (Glasgow): Terahertz techniques
John Tisch (Imperial): Attosecond spectroscopy
Submissions are invited for both oral and poster presentations, the
deadline for these will be late Sept 2011 and more details regarding this
and registration will be posted in due course on the website at:
http://www.ultrachemphys.org/
We look forward to seeing you in Glasgow,
Best wishes,
The UCP2011 organising committee
Neil Hunt (University of Strathclyde)
Klaas Wynne (University of Glasgow)
David Klug (Imperial College London)
Stephen Meech (University of East Anglia)
Helen Fielding (University College London)
Julia Weinstein (University of Sheffield)
