Subject: Ford Moss, Doddingtonmoor & Biteabout Colliery
Hi,
I have been trying to find details of the history of some late 1800 collieries
located between the villages of Ford and Lowick near Wooler in Northumberland.
The Durham Mining Museum web site has lots of really useful information and
details documents in the record office for me to follow up.
The Namho Reseach Framework indicates an interesting publication for the
Northumberland region.
Does anyone on the forum know where I may be able to view a copy of the
following
Bainbridge, J W 1996 ‘Coal Mines of North Northumberland III - southern sector,
Duddo to Wandylaw’ History of the Berwickshire Naturalists’ Club 46.3, 237-71
I can find no current details of the Berwickshire Naturalists Club or of local
libraries holding copies of the above.
Any assistance most gratefully received.
Tom
