Critical Contemporary Culture – Call for Reviewers
Are you tuned in?
Critical Contemporary Culture is a student-led online journal that
envisions an alternative cultural-intellectual public space. In our
contemporary moment, the combination of theoretical reflection with
engaged cultural practice is as important as ever. It is an environment
in which students and non-students can involve themselves in free
exchange of dialogue about the status of contemporary culture. CCC is
committed to re-imagining, cultivating and supporting such work and
their alternative public spaces.
As part of CCC’s project of promoting engagement with the cultural
landscape beyond the university, CCC Reviews will move beyond the staple
of scholarly publications. Reviewing at CCC involves a willingness to
encounter a range of cultural content, including visual and performance
art, recorded and live music, literature, poetry, and theatre (but we
are by no means limited to these categories).
If you feel you are attuned to such possibilities and are attracted by
any of the events/materials listed below, then establish contact with
the Reviews Editor. In your email please provide a brief academic
biography, stating your institutional affiliation and indicate which
item(s) you would like to review.
