Hi guys
My colleagues and I at Bournemouth University are doing some research on behalf of Channel 4 to investigate changes in everyday experiences of disability and disabled sport in the context of Channel 4’s coverage of the 2010 Paralympics in London. I can send further details of the project if you are interested, but basically this phenomenological research is based around interviews with both the able-bodied and people with a disability pre and post- Paralympics in 2012. We aim to publish both a professional report for C4, but also a number of journal articles based on our findings.
We are currently putting together a literature review of published research in the relevant areas to the project, and see media representation of disability as an important theme to this. We have come across the work of some of the people in this network, but wonder if there is any work you are currently undertaking that is perhaps currently unpublished or recently published, and in the area of media, disability, and/ or sport.
Best regards
Dan
