'Shared services' (consortia) Electronic Resource Management
SCONUL and JISC are supporting a project in order to understand fully how a
'above campus' electronic resource management system might impact on
universities and other institutions. This project will visit 16 sites to
discuss different aspects of the electronic resource management process, and
get feedback from the relevant staff on how processes might change if an
'above campus' system was introduced.
There is some further background on the SCONUL Higher Education Library
Technology (HELibTech) wiki (which also includes lots of other information
about library technology/systems including ERM etc )
http://helibtech.com/Shared+Services
The SCONUL ERM project also now has a blog with more detailed information on
the work on 'use cases' http://blogs.ostephens.com/sconulerm/
I am working a part of the project team. We welcome your views and
experience and do feel free to comment on the list, the wiki and the blog..
