italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
Dear italian-studies colleagues,
I thought you might be interested to know that in the past hour or so,
within minutes of learning (for the first time) that two of our
members wished to leave the list, I removed them from the membership.
You might also be interested to make a careful note of what I told
those two members, in virtually identical language to that used by
Luca in his recent message to the list:
****
As clearly listed at the bottom of each e-mail sent to this list, the
instructions to leave the list are as follows:
To leave the list, send the message:
leave italian-studies
to:
[log in to unmask]
Should that not work, here is another option, also clearly listed:
In order to report problems or to contact the list's owners, write to:
[log in to unmask]
****
As Luca says: 'Give it a try!'
One other thing, please, for you to note. If you have tried the above
and not been satisfied, please be sure to keep and to forward a
relevant error message to the list manager. For example, it may well
be the case that someone sends a message to the correct address, but
in fact the message is incorrect. (You would be AMAZED, for example,
to know how often people accidentally omit the hyphen between the two
words that make of the list's name; a lot of people write 'italian
studies' in this regard, rather than the list's correct name, which is
'italian-studies'.)
In ogni caso: distinti saluti a tutti, George
