Dear Alex
I’ve been contacted by the organisers of this Sunday’s campaign against
the cuts which they have related closely to aspects of the NHS reforms.
They are looking for health workers who can be there to lend the action
authenticity and strength and I wondered if you might be interested in
sending it round your contacts. This is what they have sent me:
This is the action webpage:
http://www.ukuncut.org.uk/blog/guest-post-bringing-the-hospital-to-boots
And this is the idea for the action in London this Sunday:
"Under government plans to reform the NHS, private companies like Boots
will be able to bid to provide taxpayer-funded healthcare. This is the
same Boots that was bought out by foreign investors, loaded with debt,
and moved headquarters to a Swiss tax haven.
So we say why wait? The Big Society will bring the hospital to Boots
/this Sunday/."
All the best
Marion
