Hi,
Problems like this normally occur (if there is no other error) because of
mis-specification of the experimental timing. Given your melodic results
I would say that the experimental was 10 *TRs* of open-close and then
10 *TRs* of rest, not 10 *seconds*. If you look at the melodic timecourse
it seems that the period is 70 seconds = 10 * 3.5 + 10 * 3.5.
So I think that if you change your EVs to be 35 seconds off and 35 seconds
on, then it should work fine.
