Call for Papers: EVOLUTIONARY MULTIOBJECTIVE OPTIMIZATION
Track at GECCO 2011, July 12-16, Dublin Ireland
=========================================================================
Contributions are cordially invited to the Evolutionary Multiobjective
Optimization Track at the forthcoming Genetic and Evolutionary
Computation Conference (GECCO 2011) to take place in Dublin Ireland
during July 12-16, 2011.
Multiobjective optimization arises in many real-world applications in
areas such as engineering, business, computer science, biological
sciences, scientific computation, etc. The progress on the research and
development of evolutionary multiobjective optimization (EMO) techniques
has been considerable over recent years.
EMO is concerned with the formulation and the solution, by evolutionary
and heuristic means, of all types of vector-valued optimization and
search problems. EMO builds naturally on some of the themes of genetic
and evolutionary computation - robustness, adaptation, diversity and
niching, exploration/exploitation, and the deep connections between
optimization and learning - to search large problem spaces for *sets* of
optimal "tradeoffs" or compromise solutions.
The EMO track at GECCO recognizes the full gamut of research effort in
this now broad area and invites contributions in any topic related to
the two fields of evolutionary computation and multiobjective
optimization. See the list of suggested (but not limited to) topics at:
