Hi Jonas,
a Mini S has a even lower bead radius of 5 µm, if I remember correctly. Its
available as prepacked column from GE. I have a 1 ml column which is quite
expensive. i guess you won't spent such an amount of money. It is also more
for analytical purposes and not preparative scale. Never heared anything about
the Hyper material. I would try Resource S material (GE). The price is O.K.,
it is usable for preparative purifications and the resloution is nearly as good
as for a Mono S. At least in some cases. Maybe S-Sepharose HP would also do
the job. But I guess the resolution is here too less. However scale up and
increase the resolution at the same time is always tricky, at least for me. So
you have to find a good compromise.
