Dear list
This is not exactly a WinBUGS question but it is related to doing simulation
work. I am conducting a Monte carlo study in which I have a total of 16
conditions and want to know how many iterations (not MCMC iterations but
rather datasets) I need to obtain accurate estimates of power and Type I
error rates. I ask in part because the WinBUGS model I'm running takes a
considerable amount of time to run (~ 4 hours per dataset. I have spent
nearly two weeks running 70 datasets so far.). I have read that 300 datasets
per condition is a "minimum" number (I could be done with my simulation by
2012!), but wondered if members of the list have any thoughts on this.
