Dear all,

In some regions in the Netherlands, midwives use it for women with
irregular uterine activity who are not really in labour but can not
sleep. Because we are not entitled to prescribe it, we consult the
obstetrician and the partner usually collects the Temazapam from the
hospital.
General practitioners are often more worried about giving Temazepam
during pregnancy than obstetricians.
I would be very interested to know if there is any evidence on the use
of Temazepam at the end of pregnancy.

Ank.

Many years ago we did use however I have not seen Temazepam used for a
very long time ,we favour Diamorph if absolutely required.

Dear All.

I am interested to find out if in your place of work, or in your
experience, if Temazepam is prescribed to women who are in the early
stages of Labour, Latent phase, who are finding it difficult to relax or
sleep.

I look forward to hearing from you all on this question.

Many thanks
