How do you name things when the academic "category issue" is a big business?
How do you categorise Internet studies, asked Bill Dutton in his Oxford Internet Institute's Blog? And why those involved in this field seem to underrate this "category issue" - while evidence are being gathered about the fact that massive targeted unethical and illegal activities are increasingly carried out through search engines and social media (that lead not only to manipulation of search terms, metadata, connections from social networking sites and consequent alteration of search engines results pages for commercial or political reasons but also to frauds and other serious financial crimes).
