Datatech has a new an exciting role within a progressive statistical team in Central London.
Working for a International organisation dealing with both individuals and large companies in the financial markets. This is a fast paced demanding but rewarding role.
Role and Responsibilities
• Produce analyses of general data and external sources in order to strengthen understanding of the
industry, flagging issues proactively.
• Present the data and analysis in a way that makes it accessible to people at all levels.
• Produce bulletins and presentations for ABI staff and representatives of member companies.
• Collect information on various data supplied, aggregate data and produce results for inclusion in statistical
publications, ensuring that the work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Oversee relevant, ad hoc collections where necessary.
• Work with the Assistant Director, Statistics, to develop new, or improve existing data to meet the changing
requirements.
• Work with the department’s Assistant Directors and the Statistical Analyst to develop existing commentaries
using new techniques or analysis where appropriate.
Experience and Skills
• A graduate with a good degree (1st or 2.1) requiring a high level of numeracy (Statistics, Maths, Economics
and business preferred). Mathematics A’ level essential. Master degree would be a plus, but is not essential.
• At least 2 years’ experience, preferably looking at financial services data.
• Computer literacy – word processing and spreadsheet packages.
• Some management experience would be an advantage
• Conscientious approach with concern for detail and quality.
• An excellent team player who is proactive in their approach to their work.
• Ability to organise and prioritise work.
• Ability to work under pressure.
