The Research Center of Transport Planning and Traffic Engineering (www.ivv.tuwien.ac.at), the Department of Digital Methods in Architecture and Planning (www.iemar.tuwien.ac.at) and the Institute for Analysis and Scientific Computing (www.asc.tuwien.ac.at ) at Vienna University of Technology, Vienna, Austria (www.tuwien.ac.at/tuwien_home/EN/) invite applications for a Doctoral Position for three years (2011 to 2014). The position is supported by Vienna University of Technology Innovative Projects.
The position is dedicated to a multi-disciplinary, trans-institutional research group associated with the above-mentioned departments. Working language is English. International candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Ideal candidates are self-motivated individuals who are interested in pursuing their doctoral studies in an emerging, inter-disciplinary research area with high application potential.
Candidates must have verifiable knowledge in at least one of the following areas: modeling of dynamic systems, simulation of complex systems, urban dynamics, spatial databases, statistics, scientific software development.
