Research engineer position in neuroimaging - Paris, France
The Department of Cognitive Science at the Ecole Normale Supérieure
(Paris) invites applications for a research engineer position to work on
Neuroimaging data in the framework of the DynaMind ERC project held by
Dr Sid Kouider. The successful applicant will mainly be in charge of
managing and analyzing data obtained on human subjects with fMRI in
adults and high-density EEG in infants. The successful applicant will
also be involved in the design and elaboration of research protocols.
Candidates should have at least a master degree in a relevant domain and
a solid training in neuroimaging data analysis, with robust experience
in signal processing and programming. Experience with Matlab and the SPM
toolbox is desirable but not a prerequisite.
The successful applicant will be affiliated to the Perception, Attention
and Consciousness team of Dr Sid Kouider. The Department of Cognitive
Science offers a rich research environment composed of a
multidisciplinary set of research units on philosophy, cognitive
psychology, cognitive neurosciences and computational neurosciences. Our
research team, at the interface of these disciplines, is working on the
cognitive and neural determinants of consciousness, with an emphasis on
the distinction between unconscious perception and perceptual awareness.
Our lab is located in central Paris, within the historical Quartier Latin.
Consideration of applicants will commence December 15th, 2010 and will
continue until the position is filled.
The net salary will range between 2 100 to 2 800 Euros per month
depending on qualifications.
The appointment is for two years initially but can be extended later on.
