My questions
What value does Ed think museums actually bring, what's his favourite
way of measuring it, and to what time-horizon?
If you want you can make more "digital ", perhaps:
What value does he think museums actually bring through their digital
activities, and what's his favourite way of measuring it?
I'd also like to know, when is it appropriate for museums to take risks
in the digital environment? Or in other words, should we ever be cutting
edge? (There's more one could ask about the role of organisations like
CT in supporting, nurturing and to an extent mitigating risk, but I
wouldn't want to make you blush)
Have fun. Is Jeremy Hunt going to be there?
Cheers, Jeremy (another one)

Dear MCG'ers,
In case you haven't yet registered, there are still some places at the
Collections Trust's OpenCulture Q&A event with Culture Minister Ed
Vaizey at the ICA on the 15th December from 3pm.
The event is completely free, and you can register online at
http://openculture.eventbrite.com - it only takes a few seconds!
Even if you aren't able to make it, we are looking for some really
good
questions from the museum technology community. I will be putting
questions to the Minister onstage, and we will be taking questions
from
the floor, so it would be great if you could put forward some
questions
that you would like answered. Potential areas to cover include:
* Funding for museum technology
* Status of Digital Britain
* What the Government can do to support museums managing
copyright material
* How we might benefit from the Minister's connections at BIS
We have to brief the Minister's team tomorrow afternoon, so please do
register now and submit your questions (via email or twitter at
@NickPoole1) before then.
Yours sincerely,
Nick
