I don't know how many lis-linkers were at the commemoration of Edward Dudley at Ridgmount St., but while people were talking, it occurred to me that we are really bad at commemorating our own history, never mind learning from it. I'm off to check Wikipedia, facebook, and perhaps put something on linkedin, but in parallel, someone else I know has died recently and it is interesting how the Modern Languages Association does this sort of thing in comparison.
Who owns the ipr on ED, or what is his will, makes it all another matter, but in the meantime.....
I'm getting back to the organisers along these lines, and will follow this up for lis later. From ED the lessons among other things are how to fight cuts, which makes it a matter of immediate currency.
