Dear Colleagues, I circulated this survey a couple of weeks ago. I'm
circulating it once more in the hope that you can spare 10 minutes
before you go on holiday to help us to understand what's happening in
the community around aggregation of activity data from institutions'
OpenURL Resolvers and the UK OpenURL Router Service. The survey is
being undertaken by EDINA as part of a JISC-funded project to create
and release an aggregation of activity data from the Router and
possibly also from institutional resolvers services. (See
http://edina.ac.uk/projects/Using_OpenURL_Activity_data_summary.html).
This survey is designed to explore the status of OpenURL Resolver
activity data and how institutions handle them as well as your
willingness to participate in the creation of an aggregation of data.
For example, we are interested to know whether and how institutions
disclose to users that they are collecting activity data. An
aggregation of data would be the basis for a prototype 'recommender'
service and would be made available to third parties so that they can
build services for the community on the aggregation.
We would value input from all Higher Educational Institutions that
collect activity data or log files through an OpenURL resolver and/or
if you are registered with the UK OpenURL Router service. The survey
should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete.
You can find the survey here:

If you know of other colleagues that may be able to contribute to this
work, I'd be grateful if you would forward this message to them.
thanks very much
