Dear all,
Apologies for cross-posting.
Following the outstanding success of the previous editions, the 3rd European Articulate Conference is back at the University of Leeds on the 17th of May, 2011. This event is becoming a regular and very popular informal gathering of e-learning professionals and enthusiasts interested in effective design with rapid e-learning tools.
The main focus of this edition will be enhancing the user experience and the plan is to hear both designers and end-users share ideas, tips and tricks with the ultimate goal of moving everyone closer to creating online training that captivates, engages and changes behaviour.
Full details of this event, as well as a call for contributions will be made available shortly, but here are 6 reasons why you definitely need to block the 17th of May, 2011, in your diary this very minute:
1. You will see lots of examples of engaging e-learning created with Articulate Studio 09 from award-winning members of the community
2. You will meet lots of colleagues from education, as well as industry, with tons of ideas for engaging interactive online training (some more outlandish than others, but all equally stimulating)
3. You will have many opportunities to show off your e-learning skills to an appreciative and enthusiastic audience
4. There will be a steady and plentiful supply of refreshments throughout the day and lots of 'watercooler moments' to learn everything about everything e-learning
5. This will also act as a fast-track into the Articulate community (extremely creative and generous individuals all over the world Tweeting, blogging and collaborating relentlessly around #articulate)
6. Do not forget about our conference raffle, which could see you leave with a full license for Articulate Studio 09, as well as other goodies.
You will understandably want to know a lot more about this highly worthwhile event right now and we will update our website shortly with more details, as well as circulate a few more reminders. What you can do immediately, however, is put the 17th of May in your diary and see what happened in previous years for a better understanding of what we are about: http://www.leeds.ac.uk/articulate/conference2011.
With my very best wishes and hoping to see you in Leeds next May,
Dragos
