Dear Nina
The RIBA certainly have a Drawing Archive which includes complete sketchbooks (see the RIBA website under Library, Drawings and Photographs) and may be able to advise you of the best repository for your father's sketchbooks. The RIAS might be able to help as well.
Regards
Elinor.

Subject: architect's sketchbooks
Hi all,
I am new to the group and so I realise I have just missed the chance to get involved in the sketchbook show in Lincoln.
My late father was an architect and I have a box full of his sketch books going back about 40 years. Whilst these are obviously of interest to me as a daughter, is there any interest in the wider world in these things? Do they get archived if you are not Lord Foster or the like? I would be keen to make them available to a serious researcher or library if so.
Regards
Dr Nina Baker
