Funny that one should say this, but it's true - analogue is better. I
am involved in recording maritime history and part of my work is the
recording of buildings, shipyards, ships and boats for future
generations. For a project in the USA I tendered for last year, they
asked for photographs to be in black & white only and to be stored in
".tiff" format, or if that was not possible I was to use 4 inch by 5
inch glass plates! Yeah, like I can carry a bellows camera into a
torpedo tube!
