Modelling networks from sequence to consequence in eukaryotes
Starts: 9.20 am on 28 March 2011
Finishes: 6.00 pm on 29 March 2011
Venue: Kavli Royal Society International Centre (http://royalsociety.org/kavli/)
Organised by: Professor Dirk-Jan de Koning and Professor Chris Haley
Synopsis: The projected benefits of systems biology for understanding variation in human disease susceptibility or sustainable agriculture requires a bottom-up integration of research in genetics, statistics, mathematical modelling, bioinformatics and physiology. The meeting will bring together keynote speakers from the intersection of these disciplines who apply 'systems' approaches to study complex variation in plants, animals or humans.
Speakers and chairs include: Dr Dirk Husmeier, Dr Arnis Druka, Professor John Whittaker, Professor Chris Rawlings, Professor Tim Aitman, Dr Enrico Petretto, Professor Stig Omholt, Professor Rebecca Doerge, Professor Ernst Wit, Professor Barbara Stranger, Dr Matthew Rockmann, Dr Lauren McIntyre and Professor Robbie Waugh
Registration: This meeting is FREE to attend however, participants will need to cover their accommodation and catering costs. Pre-registration is essential, further information and registration forms will be available shortly. Please watch this site: http://royalsociety.org/events/modelling-networks/ !
