`Manifestations of Evil: an Interdisciplinary Conference' - 12-13 July 2011
The Centre for Spirituality Studies at the University of Hull wishes to invite all interested parties to a conference on 12-13 July 2011 at the Raven Hall Country House Hotel, Ravenscar, North Yorkshire, UK. http://www.ravenhall.co.uk/page/home.html

Sessions will cover multiple perspectives on occurrences of evil in contemporary society, including:
- Restorative justice and evil
- Uses of the concept of evil
- Representations of evil
- Child abuse in the Catholic Church
- Child pornography
- Genocide
- Terrorism
- Torture
We invite abstracts from those working in all related areas, including politics, law, sociology, criminology, social work, philosophy, theology, anthropology and ethnography, religious education and formation.
Submission deadline: Friday 28 January 2011
Authors will be informed of acceptance by 4 March 2011
