Hi
I know that a lot of MCG members came along to MuseumNext in London earlier this year, and I thought you would be interested to know that the 2011 conference will be taking place in Edinburgh, May 26 - 27.
The conference will focus on building communities, empowering audiences and fundraising all approached from the perspective of new technology and developments on the web. Confirmed speakers include:
Amy Weisser, 9/11 Memorial and Museum
Nora Semel and Francesca Merlino from Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum
Willem Velthoven, MediaMatic
Rich Mintz, Blue State Digital
Martin Barden, TATE
Jasper Visser, Nationall Historisch Museum
Geer Oskam, Stichting Museumnacht Amsterdam (n8)
and Steve Bridger (well known digital charity consultant)
The conference is spread over two days so the eight speakers mentioned above represent just over half those who will be included in the final programme.
We have launched the website with fifty early bird tickets which are £200, a discount of £100 off the regular ticket price. In the first day we had bookings from six countries!
You can find more details of the conference on http://www.museumnext.org
Thanks
