Dear MCGers,
a few people asked to be notified when they were ready, so I thought I'd share with the list - the games I've developed for my MSc project are ready for play.
You don't have to sign up or send me comments (though it'd be ace if you did), just have a few turns or send it to friends who might like it... http://museumgam.es/
I'm working on an update for Friday following some great suggestions from people. I'll keep tweaking it for the next fortnight-ish so keep the comments coming! One issue MCGers might be able to help with is helping people get over the 'authority hump' to add their first tag - any ideas?
I'll blog some notes on it in the next few days but the basics are that it's built as a WordPress plugin so it's easy for other museums to use it. It's pretty easy to import new data so if you have some objects you'd like to see in it, let me know. At the moment the subject themes are astronomy (for technical objects), and toys and dogs (for social history or empathic objects).
cheers, Mia
