Webinar Description
The Transfer Code of Practice responds to the expressed needs of the
scholarly journal community for consistent guidelines to help publishers
ensure that journal content remains easily accessible by librarians and
readers when there is a transfer between parties, and to ensure that the
transfer process occurs with minimum disruption. Publishers are being asked
to publicly endorse and follow the Code of Practice which is a set of
voluntary "best practices" for the industry but the success of the Transfer
Code of Practice also depends on librarians asking publishers to endorse the
Code and making sure they follow it. There is also a UKSG Transfer
Notification email list and blog where Transfer publishers post notices of
journal ownership changes. This webinar will provide an introduction and
overview of the Code and notification service and an update on how the
project is developing.
Details for logging into the Webinar will be emailed to participants prior
to the webinar.
