Introduction to palaeography – supporting your learning on how to decipher
unfamiliar handwriting
Do you find cataloguing your collections difficult because of unfamiliar
handwriting? Would you like to do more to support users with their
genealogical research? This course will help you master the techniques to
use in deciphering unfamiliar handwriting. You will also have the chance to
use your own examples of handwriting challenges from your own collections
(the trainers will also focus on 19th and early 20th century documents in
their examples and unassisted exercises).
