The Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience of the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin is recruiting
1 POSTDOC for a project on DEEP BRAIN RECORDING OF HUMAN DECISION MAKING (3 years, extendable)
in the lab of Professor John-Dylan Haynes (http://www.bccn-berlin.de/People/haynes). The applicant will be involved in conducting and analysing experiments on decision making using intracranially recorded signals.
The position will have a heavy emphasis on signal processing, advanced data analysis and computational modelling.
The project is part of a larger clinical research network investigating the neural mechanisms of deep brain stimulation and recording in patients with movement disorders.
Your profile:
The successful candidate should hold a Doctorate/PhD in psychology, cognitive neuroscience, neurology, physics, computer science, computational neuroscience or a related field. The position requires substantial programming skills and experience in relevant aspects of signal processing. This could include time series analysis, Granger causality analysis, machine learning or computational modelling. Desirable, but not necessary, would be experience in experimental psychology, cognitive neuroscience and brain imaging, especially EEG and intracranial recording.
