Visiting Fellows in Educational Development
The University of Windsor Centre for Teaching and Learning
The Centre for Teaching and Learning at the University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, invites expressions of interest for the following positions as Visiting Fellow in Educational Development for a period of time to be determined by mutual agreement:
- March 1, 2011 - April 14, 2011
- May 7, 2011 - August 1, 2011
- October 2011 - May 2012
The Senior Visiting Fellow posting is designed for experienced educational developers taking leave from their home institutions and interested in:
1. living and working in a new and stimulating environment;
2. contributing new ideas and perspectives to a campus program "centred on learning";
3. developing SoTL projects in a sabbatical context.
The Postgraduate Visiting Fellow posting is intended to offer recent graduates a kind of apprenticeship experience in the Centre involving:
1. living and working in a new and stimulating environment;
2. gaining experience in educational development programs and practices;
3. developing familiarity with institutional and policy-based issues;
4. formulating and refining a personal research and development agenda.
Although the Visiting Fellow will be offered lodging (often for a period of three months) and a stipend to be determined by mutual agreement, the fellowship is not intended to represent the salary normally associated with an academic position.
